Some Velvet Morning

Some Velvet Morning - Brooding, Raw, and Shimmering Rock from North London.

March 2016 was a big month for the London based trio. It saw the release of Musical Chairs a 4 track EP as well as the band landing the soundtrack for the Europe wide Renault Megane campaign.

Two brothers, one of them could play a bit of guitar… they started gigging, found a drummer... and then the debut album gets an XFM Album of the Year 2007 Nomination!

Punchy and potent - that 2007 debut 'Silence Will Kill You', produced by Grammy Award Winner Rik Simpson (Coldplay’s Viva La Vida album along with Brian Eno) and Mike Pelanconi (Lily Allen, Graham Coxon) was “about finding our feet…we didn’t totally know what we were doing, but one thing we always had were songs.”

A follow-up single, “How To Start A Revolution”, which also opens their 2nd album 'Allies' was featured in the international trailer to the Hollywood movie “Kick-Ass”, Matthew Vaughn’s blockbuster starring Nicolas Cage.

The track featured in Irvine Welsh's 'Filth' in 2013 and will appear, with other SVM tracks, in 'The Smoke', starring Matt Di Angelo from BBC's 'Hustle', released on 20th Oct 2014. In March 2016 it was licensed to Renault for a European advertising campaign.
