Some Velvet Morning -played the Wella Trend Vision Awards. Up Next - London Bush Hall on Friday Nov 21st

Some Velvet Morning, performed at the Wella Trend Vision Awards which took place at The Roundhouse in London, and was presented by Jo Whiley on Monday 6th October 2014. It was a big night!

The band's Singer/Guitarist Desmond Lambert, who is currently producing the band’s 3rd album said, “Wella Trend Vision has opened a new chapter for Some Velvet Morning in terms of what we can present as a live show.  We are looking forward to seeing how soundscapes, created for this show, influence our production in the studio."

The 3 tracks performed at The Roundhouse provide the soundtrack for a new crime thriller feature film, ‘The Smoke’, set on the streets on London, directed by Ben Pickering and starring Matt Di Angelo, Lili Bordán, Stephen Marcus, Anna Passey and Alan Ford. It will be released on 20th October 2014 (with Soundtrack released on iTunes 3rd Nov 2014).  

On Friday 21st November Some Velvet Morning reunite with The Yardbirds at the Bush Hall, 310 Uxbridge Road, London W12 7LJ

A landmark event, the show will be a celebration of 50 years since the release of the seminal first album, ‘Five Live Yardbirds’, recorded at the Marquee Club. 

SVM drummer Rob Flanagan says that he is very excited to support the band again, whose classic hits include ‘For Your Love’, ‘Heart Full Of Soul’ and 'Shapes Of Things’.  The Yardbirds, whose core consists of original guitarist Top Topham and drummer Jim McCarty, provided the breeding ground for three of rock’s most famous guitarists – Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck.  Beck who last played on the band’s 2005 ‘Birdland’ album, spoke of his association with the band with a wry smile - “I should be proud, but I’m not…. because they kicked me out, F*** them!”.
